In THE GUTTER, when oft-fired Walt (Shameik Moore) lands a job as a bartender and shoe-wormer at his local bowling alley AlleyCatz, he feels like he’s finally found a home. When money troubles threaten AlleyCatz, Walt finds himself pressured by former pro bowler and current drinking champion Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to embrace his role as the greatest bowler to ever walk this earth. While Walt’s love of big paychecks and aggressive style of play dominates the pro circuit, his detractors — including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angelo Powers and recently retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon) — furiously attempt to snuff out Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
