Army sends a company of volunteers to patrol the unexplored western territories
Synopsis
In the winter of 1862, during the Civil War, the U.S. Minervini built the set in Montana, then let the cast live there for two months.
“The Damned” is a completely boring movie
The dialogue and thoughts expressed are what the actors made up while living in the wilderness imagining themselves as soldiers in the Civil War. It looks like someone shot an amateur video with a phone or an old video camera.
Overall, it is a complete waste of time
While the landscapes are beautiful, the soldiers wander around doing nothing. The changing seasons and snowfall add little to the experience.
I thought the directors and cinematographers were famous, but I have never heard of them
It would be better to watch a traffic jam from the window of a big city, much more entertaining than this movie. It seems that the most iconic filmmakers create films for a cross-cultural audience, not for ordinary people like me.
