Danielle Deadwyler (Till, The Harder They Fall, The Piano Lesson) stars as Ramona, a woman devastated by grief after surviving a car crash that resulted in the loss of her husband (Russell Hornsby; BMF, Fences). Severely injured, Ramona must now care for her 14-year-old son (Peyton Jackson; Respect, American Refugee) and six-year-old daughter (Estella Kahiha; Will Trent, BMF) alone on their rural farm. Then one day, the woman takes shape in her backyard. Ramona assumes the woman (Okwui Okpokwasili; Julie Taymor’s The Exorcist: Believer, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) is lost or crazy, but as the woman gets closer and closer to the house, it becomes clear that she is no ordinary figure and her intentions are anything but peaceful. Now Ramona must band together to protect herself and her children from the clutches of a woman who simply won’t leave them alone.
